IT support

Spent 2 rather spiffing days in and around Eastbourne filming interviews and B roll for an IT support company. Great fun, and met some lovely people.

The premier

Ive been working on a short film, which I wrote directed, and edited.

The cast and crew are meeting with me on the 23rd September to see the finished article. What a journey its been.

Im planning on entering the film at as many film festivals as possible and see where I end up.

Interviewing Marathon

In 2 trips to London, over 4 days, I interviewed 32 people. It was actually great fun to meet so many passionate people.

The crew was amazing we used 2 rooms 2 locations and the trusty FS7.

It was great to hear one of the clients say to me your amazing so cool laid back, an area of calm in the midst of everything that’s happening.

Lighting the way!

If some one asked whats the most important aspect of a shoot I would have to say lighting! A scenes mood, shape and quality is totally affected by how its lit. I recently attended BVE in London and watched a very informative and entertaining presentation by Johnathon Harrison. It seems the last thing people spend money on yet it has such an impact on the end result. A few lights used effectively can create a stunning look, far more so than the camera or plug ins added in Post.

Zak

Im very proud of this, just me a camera, a lot of running about and Zak a great guy great to work with.

I had help though, Rhoda the wonderful, who asked me to make it, The restaurant we filmed in (Stazzjon Bar & Kitchen) and the players, who were great and didn’t run me over!

Keeping safe

A short video I wrote directed edited and voiced!. Being versatile is one of my key skills. But why did I do it this way, a tight budget but high expectations.  A great video well received that does what it says on the tin. Filming this close to central London with a drone was a challenge, but well met by Steve Pentleton, even going so far as to issue a notice to airmen, so anyone in the area knew who we were, what we were doing and why.

I won!

It’s always nice to be recognised for your efforts.

Business video experts are an amazing company and I do a lot with them. This video was entered in the video awards for the Entrepreneur Circle. It won best business video, which meant not only was it a great video, but it achieved results and became an excellent return on investment. For me, it was a wonderful experience, and I am so pleased with the end result.

A new year, a fresh start

At the beginning of a new year, we can feel optimistic. That’s how I feel today, looking forward, what can I do differently, how can I make better films.

I always look for a way to get some extra magic in what I do, new shots new techniques and so a better end result. If your passionate about filmmaking let me help you make it better.
